The Wedding

  • Our ceremony and reception will be held at the Barn at Howard Creek Farm in Howard, Colorado. The ceremony will start at 4:30 in the afternoon, with cocktails and reception to follow.

For more details about the weekend's festivities, including dates, times, and locations, check out our Wedding Details page.

More information will be added as we get closer to the event!

  • We will provide transportation from Salida to the ceremony. The shuttle will depart around 3:30-3:45 in the afternoon (to be confirmed closer to the event).

This will allow for plenty of time for you to get to ceremony site, grab a beverage, and take your seat before we start at 4:30.

  • Yes! We have arranged transportation to and from the ceremony and reception site at the Barn at Howard Creek.

A shuttle will pick up guests from several hotel locations in Salida at around 3:30-3:45 pm to take you to the venue (stay tuned for further details about pickup locations!).

Return transportation will be provided from the venue back to Salida. The shuttle will make two return trips around 9:30 and 10:30 p.m. to get you back to your accommodations.

Around our venue, it is not common to find Lyft, Uber, or other ride-shares. Parking at the venue is extremely limited, and will be available only in special circumstances and by prior request (parking passes are required).

  • We kindly request that you dress in semi-formal attire for the rehearsal dinner, ceremony, and reception. We want you to be comfortable, but would love to see you dressed up to celebrate with us.

We recommend suit jackets, slacks, and button-down shirts; as well as knee-length or longer dresses, jumpsuits, or dressy separates.

At this time of year in Colorado, expect an average high of 75 degrees and an average low of 45 degrees. Additionally, our wedding ceremony will be held outdoors in the grass. Please keep this in mind when choosing appropriate fabrics and footwear (i.e., stilettos might not be the best choice!).

If you're still unsure what to wear, check out the bottom of our Wedding Details page for inspo pics.

  • We have hired an excellent photographer to capture the moments for us, so we kindly ask that you refrain from taking photos during the ceremony.

However, for the remainder of our celebration, photos are encouraged! We will likely create a joint album so we can all share and enjoy photos from the events. And if you post photos on social media, don't forget to tag #ClarksinColorado!

  • Yes! The alcohol is on us, but the hangover is on you. Please be aware that the higher altitude may make it a bit easier to have a good time ;)

There will also be non-alcoholic beverages available for those who do not wish to partake.

  • Of course! We will be providing vegan, vegetarian, and gluten free food options. Please note any additional dietary restrictions or food allergies when you submit your RSVP.

  • The reception will end at 10:30 p.m.

There will be a shuttle providing transportation back to Salida at 9:30 p.m. and 10:30 p.m. so you can enjoy the party and not worry about driving home or arranging a ride.
